Entering this April, No. 72 VLCC constructed for China Merchants Group by DSIC No.2 Dock Division floated out of the dock smoothly, whose final butt-jointed erection has achieved good scores of 90.63 with undocking integrity further improved. Meanwhile, No. 73 VLCC constructed for COSCO Shipping conducted sea trial with zero pending pre-trial item for various works, where strength tests for ballast tanks and cargo oil tanks have won high recognition from shipowners.
In the recent production organizations, focusing on the features of products under construction, starting with strengthening management, DSIC has implemented production schedule evaluation management program strictly and instructed site production management with weekly plan, 3-day rolling plan and commissioning plan. Enhance safety grid management, form a management pattern of daily summary and weekly report, strengthen frequency of site patrol checks from different levels of managerial personnel, define the divisions and persons in charge, follow up and implement rectifications so as to form closed-loop management. Also strengthen times of site patrol checks on whole-ship fire precautions, anti high-falling accidents and coating operation, which has received a good result and effectively safeguarded all production milestones to realize as scheduled.
