Oct. 18 witnessed the signing ceremony of 8500m3 LNG bunker project between DSIC and ENN Energy Holding Ltd. in Zhoushan, Zhejiang. The contracting of this project will further establish the leading place of DSIC in building liquid and gas ships while marking that DSIC has seized the market opportunity in the field of specialized LNG bunker. DSIC General Manager Yang Zhizhong and ENN Energy CEO Zhang Yesheng signed the contract on behalf of the two parties, wehre DSIC Chief Engineer and Deputy General Manager Lu Xiaohui and relevant departmental leaders from the parties attended the signing ceremony as witnesses.
ENN Energy’s 8500m3 LNG bunker is the first global largest specialized C-type canned bunker total packaged by domestic shipyard, 119.3 m in length overall, 19.8m in breadth moulded, 11m in depth moulded, 5.9m in design draft and 6.2m in scantling draft, which is a semi-pressurized/full refrigerated ship with single screw and dual fuel driven M/E for unrestricted waters.
It is reported that the project shall be mainly applied in ENN Zhoushan international LNG bunkering quay specialized in LNG bunkering operation in the future. As the first project approved and acquired the national and regional bunkering license capable of bunkering the clean LNG fuel for the ships involved in international shipping, also the first LNG receiving terminal invested for construction by the private enterprise in China, ENN Zhoushan LNG bunkering and receiving terminals have been fully equipped with the quay berths and bunkering facility with a great influence on the international shipping market, which are the first choice for the international LNG fueled ships bunkering in China and even Asia. It will be complementary in bunkering operation with Zhoushan home port in the future, boosting the capacity in bunkering and allocating while expanding market radius for better service in the international and domestic LNG bunkering market.
