The No.63 300,000dwt VLCC “Yuanzhihu”built for COSCO SHIPPING TANKER Dalian was named and delivered by DSIC on Nov. 9. He Jiwu from CSIC, COSCO Shipping DGM Ding Nong, CSOC DGM Zhang Yuhuan, CCS President Sun Feng, and DSIC leaders Liu Zheng, Yu Fengping and Deng Changlian presented the ceremony.
“Yuanzhihu”is a new generation of extremely competitive brand type researched and developed independently by DSIC, tailor made for COSCO SHIPPING TANKER Dalian combined with energy-saving environmental protection and Sediment Prevention, belongs to the unlimited ship type with mileage over 25000 miles. The vessel is loa about 333m, breadth molded 60m, and normal load 2 million barrels of crude oil through the Malacca Strait in the design draft 20.5 meters. The ship is equipped with high efficiency and energy saving combination device in front and back of propellers, additional rudder balls and energy-saving rollers which can reduce energy loss and fuel consumption, and have improved wake fields behind stern and propulsion efficiency. Verified by well-known towing tank test at home and abroad, the fuel consumption of this ship is in the world leading level.
