On August 19, the third 85,000dwt bulk carrier built for Avic International Leasing Corporation was successfully delivered by Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Corporation (SSIC). The signing ceremony was held by video.
The ship is 227.2m in length, 36m in width and 20.35m in depth, with design draft of 11.5m and service speed of 14.1 knots. The speed, dead weight, fuel consumption indicators of the ship are very good, among which the measured ship energy efficiency design index reached EEDI -Ⅱ, and its excellent energy saving and environmental protection performance has been praised by the ship owner.
During construction, the project team actively communicated with the ship owner through careful planning of the node plan, overcame the adverse impact of the epidemic on construction period, and successfully completed the trial voyage and delivery node according to the plan. |
