Demonstrate Quality, Competency and Brand Effect of Chinese Equipment in the International Market

On Sept. 9, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council Li Keqiang paid a visit to DSIC Offshore Structure Co., Ltd. for understanding independent innovation and market exploration, accompanied by State Councillor Yang Jing, Vice Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee Zhou Xiaochuan, Liaoning Provincial Secretary and Director of Liaoning Provincial People’s Congress of China Li Xi, and Vice Provincial Secretary and Governor Chen Qiufa, stressing that DSIC should seize opportunity of “Made in China 2025”, aim at market demand, endeavor in driving smart transformation of equipment manufacturing industry, and raise core competency of enterprise.

Premier Li stood by the sea, looking far into different types of rigs constructed for European and American clients by DSIC Offshore, and listening to the work report from DSIC Chairman and Party Secretary Liu Zheng. He pointed out rigs are used for exploiting offshore oil and gas, with precise technical requirements and low cost, where Chinese equipment has had the highest cost performance worldwide. As long as the cooperative opportunity of international productivity is fully seized, there will be a bright future in the Northeast China. On the assembly yard facing the sea, hearing that DSIC have successfully developed out 300-400 feet DSJ serial jackup and DSAT400 self-elevating life service platform with independent intellectual property right to fill a domestic gap in this field by means of technical breakthrough and innovation, import substitution rate of support equipment for independently developed 300-400 feet jackup has achieved 75% and complete machine in export products achieved 60%, Li said gladly, in recent years, you have challenged difficulties bravely in your creation, and dared to play in the international market, which have demonstrated quality, competency and brand effect of Chinese equipment.    

Premier Li also stressed, since current world economic recovery is weak and international market is relatively shrinking, our Chinese enterprises should dare to go compete globally, continually demonstrating our advantages in good cost performance of Chinese equipment, and striving for world brand.
